The PPWR-Proof-Toolkit
Since 12 August 2026, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40) applies across the EU. What you have to prove depends on your role in the value chain, as manufacturer, importer, distributor, or producer, and most companies hold more than one. This toolkit gives compliance, procurement, and sustainability teams a proof map for every obligation, a prioritization matrix for your packaging portfolio, a supplier data request template, a Declaration of Conformity checklist, and a compliance readiness scorecard.
A supplier letter saying “our materials are compliant” does not cover your PPWR obligations. The toolkit shows what proof actually looks like for each requirement, from lab certificates for heavy metals and PFAS to recycled content certificates and Technical Documentation, and who in your supply chain should provide it. It also covers what comes after August 2026, from labelling in 2028 to recyclability grades and recycled content targets from 2030.
