The Challenge

Laying The Groundwork For ESG Reporting

The Sustainability Management department, founded in 2024, faced a variety of challenges: for example, ESG ratings had to be processed using basic data from the existing IMS system (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001). As a small department, it had to juggle the extensive requirements of sustainability reporting according to GRI, submission to EcoVadis and the preparation of the carbon footprint. In addition, it had to respond to numerous customer questionnaires - often under very tight deadlines.

Against this backdrop, the team was looking for a solution to streamline and standardize data collection. At the same time, they needed to derive strategic insights from the emissions data. In addition, expert guidance was needed to adapt to changing conditions and meet client expectations for clear and transparent reporting.

The Sunhat & Cozero Moment

TRICOR chose Cozero and Sunhat for a comprehensive solution, as the two platforms offer complementary strengths. The company uses Sunhat to systematically collect evidence, in particular to respond to EcoVadis and to produce its first sustainability report in accordance with GRI. Sunhat's sustainability experts guide TRICOR through the methodologies, assist with regulatory compliance and ensure high-quality submissions.

In addition, Cozero enables TRICOR to calculate CO₂e footprints such as CCF and PCF. This provides meaningful analysis for internal decision-making.

How TRICOR Uses Sunhat & Cozero

With practical support from Sunhat's Customer Success Team, accurate, framework-compliant evidence was submitted to meet EcoVadis' deadline. This collaboration earned TRICOR Packaging & Logistics AG the EcoVadis Platinum Medal.

To increase transparency and move away from modelled data, the team will explore opportunities for greater supplier involvement in the future.

Centralized ESG Reporting & EcoVadis Platinum

Through the integration of Sunhats Collaborative Proof Platform & Cozero, TRICOR laid the groundwork for their centralized ESG reporting:

• Simplified Reporting for GRI and EcoVadis: processes have been implemented to make compliance with requirements more efficient. This reduces the effort involved in reporting and ensures the accuracy of the information provided. These new processes earned Tricor an Ecovadis Platinum medal in 2026.
• Advanced carbon footprint calculations: The analyses enable accurate calculations and the development of strategies to reduce emissions. This data was transferred to Sunhat and is now used for reporting purposes.
• ‍Improved customer trust through transparency: By handling information openly and continuously improving its sustainability performance, the company secures a clear competitive advantage.
